With a background in photoelectrochemistry and enzyme/inorganic hybrid devices, Dr. Hambourger and the 'Hambourger helpers' have pursued projects related to electrochemical or photochemical energy conversion; wastewater treatment; and electroactive materials. Approaches range from chemical catalysis, to biohybrid devices, to harnessing the catalytic machinery of living systems.
