To provide scholarship support to incoming freshman students who are enrolled full-time and intend to major in Fermentation Sciences in the Department of Chemistry and Fermentation Sciences within the College of Arts and Sciences. In the interest of promoting the university's educational interest in attaining a culturally diverse student body, it is the Donor's request that special consideration in the awarding of scholarships be given to students from underrepresented populations as defined by the university, consistent with university policies and practices aimed at increasing diversity of its student body and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Preference in the selection of recipients shall accrue to students who maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Awards are automatically renewable for four years (eight consecutive semesters), provided the recipient continues to meet the above criteria.
